The story behind ExtremoSur
ExtremoSur was born in 2005, driven by the passion of its founder, Fernando Zelaya, for adventure tourism and the natural richness of Costa Rica's southern region.
He was always drawn to the many extraordinary and little-explored places in this region. He knew he did not want to limit himself to traditional activities like hiking, but to go further and explore the most extreme and surprising corners of the south.
That is how ExtremoSur was born: to discover and explore these unique places, while helping more people experience them safely and accessibly.
